`ACelebration of Drawing Concentrating on the Human Form` by Mike Lofthouse and Trish Jubb`Figure & Face features the work of two local artists Trish Jubb and Mike Lofthouse who use a variety of media but have a preference for producing monochromatic images in charcoal and ink.`

As Mike comments on their choice of media: "The medium derives strength from the high contrasts in light and shadow. Life drawing brings out the strength of the medium as a bold, expressive device. Even quick sketches take on a dramatic quality when rendered in charcoal."
